Safety Training at KLAY

First Aid

Through the mandatory first aid sessions conducted at various branches of Manipal, Rainbow and Continental Hospitals, all our staff are able to learn how to respond to emergency situations, which will help them care for children and adults in crisis, as they wait for medical professionals to arrive.

These first aid sessions are designed to help non-medical professionals provide assistance in times of crisis, allowing the staff to gain an understanding of first aid best practices for a wide range of conditions without panicking. The program prepares our staff to deal with common injuries, such as cuts, burns, bites, stings and head injuries.

Fire Safety

We conduct regular mock fire drills and briefing sessions to create awareness about fire-fighting techniques and the ways to respond swiftly in times of such an emergency situation. These sessions have educated our staff on how to operate fire extinguishers safely in case of a fire
emergency.

An in-house ERT (Emergency response Team) with designated roles has also been
created to assist in an emergency.

POCSO

At KLAY, our endeavour is to become more effective participants in prevention and intervention of efforts designed to reduce child
abuse.

We have joined hands with Enfold to help us create awareness and also to train our teachers, caregivers, security guards, drivers, cooks and all the corporate staff on the sensitivity of child abuse. This comprehensive training includes, information on procedures of child friendly mechanisms for reporting an issue, recording of evidence, investigating and the speedy trial of offences through designated special courts.
